A Fast Automatic Reconstruction Method for Panoramic Images Based on Cone Beam Computed Tomography

Panoramic images have been widely used in the diagnosis of dental diseases. In process panoramic image reconstruction, position arch curve usually affects quality display content, especially completion level image. addition, metal implants patient’s mouth often lead contrast to decrease. This paper describes a method automatically synthesize from cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) data. The proposed has two essential features: first feature is that can detect through axial maximum intensity projection over different ranges, and second our able adjust distribution implant critical areas, reduce impact on was tested 50 CBCT datasets; generated by this were compared with attained three other commonly approaches then subjectively scored experienced dentists. comprehensive score, highest score 11.16 ± 2.64 points. results show better contrast.
